so tired
Worked 15 hours Friday, 12 hours yesterday and 10 hours today … my body is not amused by all these late nights, even less so by the fact I’m working a 9 hour shift tomorrow … bring on Tuesday when I can sleep like a crazy fool. It was a gorgeous today too, the mountains were begging for a hike but no, I had drunk people to serve blah. Zzz.

I miss you
and it’s infuriating that I do, and even more so because I do not know how to get rid of your memory. You just stick around, for months, like a shadow in my head that toys with my emotions. You’re miles away right now and you should not have this effect on me. It’s unfair, it’s bloody well unfair.

Post-Africa Slump
As this whole being-back-at-work malarky continues without fail … I am falling into the expected Post-Africa slump mode. Pft. Back on British soil
Dusty and sleepy, missing the heat of Kenya, but happy. Had an insane time at Madungu Primary School - so much improvement, so many old friends still smiling, so many new plans…
Dug the foundations for the new library in the midday sun and opened the doors of the sewing machine workshop.
Read and acted my favourite childhood storybooks to Standard 3, 4 and 5 R and G.
